When I click on "update" of a specific podcast or simply the 'refresh' button, nothing happens. The broadband connection is the default connection.ĥ. I am repeatedly getting pop ups asking me if I want to connect to the internet with a dial up connection.even though I'm already connected via broadband. I was in the process of installing Java 6 update 4 when this all started happening. I used the help function in XP and followed the suggestion to enable something (I forget now) in the device manager.and it worked. I looked at my firewall, and it indicated that there wasn't any traffic coming in or going out.but the lights on my modem indicated that I was connected. I called my ISP and they assured me that it wasn't on their end. Yesterday, I suddenly lost my internet connection and couldn't reconnect. Any Java Web Start application that was downloaded and cached with the JDK or JRE will no longer appear in the list of currently installed programs.Sorry for the lame Topic Title, but I really couldn't think of anything else to put, and to my eyes it all somehow seems related to the Java installation.but I won't be totally surprised if it isn't. To avoid seeing the misleading message, either press F5 or reopen the dialog box. Refresh the Add or Remove Programs by pressing F5 or reopen the panel. The message is displayed when you have removed the Java Web Start application while uninstallating the JDK or JRE, but this is not reflected in the Add or Remove Programs. Please contact your system administrator. You do not have sufficient access to remove Java-Application: nameApp from the Add or Remove Program list. If you say Yes to this, then you will see another Uninstaller Error dialog box saying: Would you like to remove Java-Application: name App from the Add or Remove program list? When you remove the application, you see an Uninstaller Error dialog box saying:Īn error occurred while trying to remove Java-Application: nameApp. Remove the Java Web Start application using Add or Remove Programs.
